Primært av fysioterapeuter, men kan benyttes av andre helseprofesjoner.

ASPI består av 3 funksjonstester

• Fremoverbøyning
• Ta på sokker
• Reise seg fra ryggliggende på gulv
  

Funksjonstestene i ASPI er basert på BASFI, som er det mest brukte spørreskjemaet for å måle fysisk aktivitet hos personer med aksial SpA (AS).
